Terms of Service

Last updated 11 October 2026 · Operated by LayGen

The short version

  • You must be 13 or older to play, and some players need a parent or guardian's permission.
  • Money and items in the game are pretend. They have no real value and can't be sold or cashed out.
  • Be kind, don't share personal contact details and don't cheat.
  • We can remove content or accounts that break the rules. You can appeal by emailing hi@unicornhustle.xyz.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and LayGen ("we", "us"), which runs Unicorn Hustle and unicornhustle.xyz (together, the "game"). By creating an account or playing, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

If you are under 18, please read these terms with a parent or guardian.

2. Who can play

  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • If the law where you live sets a higher age for using online services without permission, you need a parent or guardian's permission until you reach it. By playing, you confirm you have it.
  • You must give your real date of birth. Entering a false date of birth breaks these terms, and we may close the account.
  • You can't play if we have previously banned you.

3. Your account

  • Sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that account private.
  • One account per person. Don't share, sell, buy or transfer accounts.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us at hi@unicornhustle.xyz if you think someone else has used it.
  • Choose a display name and Hub names that follow the community rules.

4. Game money and items

Unicorn Hustle is a game. The cash, stock, decorations, investor rounds, company shares and everything else you earn in the game are virtual:

  • They have no real-world value and can't be exchanged for real money, goods or services.
  • You can't sell, trade or transfer them outside the game.
  • You get a licence to use them while you play, but you don't own them.
  • We may change, rebalance or remove them to keep the game fair and working, for example by fixing prices, correcting mistakes or reversing gains from bugs or cheating.

The game teaches business ideas in a simplified way. It isn't financial, business or investment advice.

5. Community rules

Unicorn Hustle is a game for teenagers, so these rules are strict. Don't:

  • bully, harass, threaten or embarrass anyone;
  • post hate speech, or content that is sexual, violent, or about drugs or self-harm;
  • share personal information about yourself or anyone else, such as phone numbers, addresses, schools, social media handles or links;
  • ask other players to talk outside the game or to meet in person;
  • pretend to be another person, a member of our team, or LayGen;
  • scam, spam or advertise;
  • cheat, use bots, scripts, modified apps or automation, or exploit bugs (please report them to hi@unicornhustle.xyz instead);
  • attack, overload or try to get into our systems or other players' accounts.

If you see something that breaks these rules, use the report button or email us.

6. Hubs and chat

Hubs are small teams of players in the same age group. Hub chat is automatically filtered and we may review reported messages. Hub leaders can remove members. Founding a Hub costs game money and has rules shown in the game, such as level requirements and closing empty Hubs. We may rename or close Hubs that break these terms.

7. If you break the rules

We may remove content, mute you, reset gains from cheating, suspend your account or ban you, depending on how serious the problem is. We will usually tell you why. If you think we made a mistake, email hi@unicornhustle.xyz within 30 days and a person will review it. For serious safety issues we may also contact the relevant authorities.

8. Your content

You own what you create in the game, such as names, Hub badges, chat messages and guestbook notes. You give LayGen a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and use that content to run and promote the game, for example by showing your room to visitors. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared with other players or kept for safety reasons as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Our content

The game, including its name, logo, characters, art, code and text, belongs to LayGen and its licensors. You may share screenshots and the share cards the game creates. You may not copy, sell or reuse the game itself or its content for other purposes without our written permission.

10. Purchases

Unicorn Hustle is free and there is nothing to buy today. If we add optional purchases later, they will be cosmetic items only (such as outfits or room decorations) and never an advantage. Separate purchase terms, age-based limits and refund rules will apply, and we will show them before any purchase.

11. Changes to the game

The game is new and still growing. We may add, change or remove features, rebalance the economy, reset test data before launch, or pause the game for maintenance. We will try to give notice of big changes. We may stop running the game altogether; if we do, we will give at least 30 days' notice where we can.

12. Closing your account

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing hi@unicornhustle.xyz. We may close accounts that break these terms or that have been inactive for a long time; we will warn you first where we can. Sections 4, 8, 9, 13, 14 and 15 continue to apply after your account is closed.

13. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep the game running well, but it is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will always be available, error-free or that your progress will never be lost. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.

14. Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, LayGen isn't liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for loss of game progress, virtual money or items. The game is free, so our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim, if any, or USD 50, whichever is greater. These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana will deal with any dispute. If you live in another country, you keep any protections that your local consumer laws give you, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where those laws allow. Please contact us first at hi@unicornhustle.xyz; most problems can be solved quickly.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for important changes, tell you in the game or by email before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, you accept the updated terms.
